Abstract
This paper studies the synchronization of SA and AV Node Oscillators using PSO optimized RBF-based controllers systems. High levels of control activities may excite unmodeled dynamics of a system. This changes the rules for controlling the system and achieving an acceptable control performance. In fact, the objective here is to reach a trade-off between tracking performance and parametric uncertainty. Two methods are proposed to synchronize the general forms of Van Der Pol (VDP) Model, and their performance. These methods use the radial basis function (RBF)- based neural controllers for this purpose. The first method uses a standard RBF neural controller. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to derive and optimize the parameters of the RBF controller. In the second method, with the aim of increasing the robustness of the RBF controller, an error integral term is added to the equations of RBF neural network. For this method, the coefficients of the error integral component and the parameters of RBF neural network are also derived and optimized via PSO algorithm. For better comparison Simulation results show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed methods in both performance in comparison with SMC controller.

Abstract
Based on gender study, hegemonic masculinity refers to those cultural rules by the help of which men sustain a leading position over women or even other men in a society. This paper intends to explore the hegemonic masculinity depicted by Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) in The Waves (1931). In order to understand the subject better, it is crucial to clarify the issue of hegemonic masculinity by giving definition of the matter based on viewpoints of Raewyn Connell (1944- ). Hegemonic masculinity is a subject that cannot be defined separately from the concept of masculinity, for these concepts are deeply interlocked and cannot be discussed discretely. On the other hand, the subject of masculine dominance is closely associated with subordination of femininity and the subjugation of other men. This subjugation and submission to the power of patriarchal dominance of the male figures is illustrated by Woolf in The Waves, and in this way, she creates a criticism of the patriarchal system of British society at that time. This paper explores the signs of hegemonic traits of The Waves’ male characters; hence, the critical viewpoints of Connell will be scrutinized. At the same time, the practicable details of the notion would be applied to the life of characters by using their soliloquies to reveal their hegemonic traits.

Abstract
Stability of rock slopes is one of the most important subjects of the geotechnics and excavation play an important role in the stability of slopes. Since excavation can be done in different parts of slopes, the parametric analysis of their effects on the stability of slopes seems very important. This study aims to analysis of the effect of excavation on different parts of slopes. For this purpose the slopes with different dips namely 30, 45, 60, and 75 degrees using the Phase2 software were modeled and their stability using the critical strength reduction factor (SRF) of slopes were determined. In the next step, the excavation with different sizes, in three different parts of up, middle and down of slopes were done and in each case the stability of rock slopes using SRF were determined. The obtained results show that excavation in different parts of slopes has different effects on instability of slopes. The greater effect of excavation on instability of slopes is relevant to down parts of slopes so that as dip of slopes increases, this effect is more significant.
